IFA 2022, One of the Largest Electronic Shows

The IFA 2022 electronic show in Berlin kicked off on this Tuesday. It’s the first time the exhibition had been open to the public since the Covid-19 pandemic, and thousands of people visited it in the morning on the first day. The IFA is one of the largest and most diverse consumer electronics shows in the world. IFA 2022, a five-day event (Sept 2-6) focusing on connectivity, sustainability and smart living, attracted more than 1,100 exhibitors from 46 countries.

The number of exhibitors is still significantly smaller than before the pandemic, with more than 19,000 exhibitors attending in 2019, according to the report. While there are no pandemic restrictions in place at IFA 2022, organizer recommends wearing masks.

The IFA organizer says 2022 has been a challenging year. It is believed that IFA will play its role once again as the world’s foremost platform for consumer electronics and home appliances as a driver of sustainable growth and innovation. Berlin Mayor Giffey said the whole IFA was focused on sustainability and energy efficiency, taking into account efforts to save energy. “It starts with changing your own behavior.” Reporters noticed that exhibitors have launched new products, smart home and new energy products are one of the highlights of the exhibition. With the European energy crisis, energy saving and environmental protection have become important concerns in smart home.
